Pumpkin Patch

Today we headed out to a pumpkin patch and had fun seeing all the animals, taking a hayride and looking at pumpkins.

Brennon made friends with another pumpkin patch visitor. Doesn't this remind you of Katelynn at his age.... no fear and loving animals?
Dad and Brennon enjoying walking around
Katelynn loved all the Disney characters they had.

I bet you can't guess what her favorite animal there was?
Mom and Brennon having fun..

The whole family. Brennon was ready to go if you can't tell.

Fall Pictures

We are really still waiting for fall here in Texas, but I still wanted to get some fun pictures of the kids. I made them dress warm anyway. They have had fun with the pumpkins and getting ready for halloween.

Brennon kept trying to pick up the pumpkins. Finally he gave up and just "hung out".

This is the only good picture we got with both of them sitting still, but they are definately cheese balls in it.

Crazy life as we know it.

So I know I have been a horrible slacker this month at posting. I feel like we have been really busy, yet it is mostly from normal day-to-day things, so I don't have much to say. School is still going well and I am 2/3 of the way done. Yay! Matt has been so great with the kids and is teaching them new things every day. Katelynn reads me new starter books every day when I come home. We are so proud of all she is learning at home and at preschool. We carved our first pumpkin the other day and I added hair so I could take it to school and display it.
The kids are having so much fun playing together and are getting so big! Here are a few pics of them...

Lately we have had a bunch of girls come in to the salon for Homecoming. I have had so much fun doing their hair for the big dance. It brings back memories... Here is one of the cute girls that I got to do her hair.

Dallas Zoo on a sunny day

Today was my day off, so we took Katelynn out of preschool and headed to the Dallas Zoo. We have been to the one in Fort Worth several times, but not this one. We had a great time and the kids loved it. Now we are exhausted, but happy to have another family day.

Brennon and I in front of the tortoises. They were huge!
Matt and Katelynn playing around.
The new sting ray exhibit was our favorite! It was just like Sea World where you get to feed them and pet them. Even Katelynn was brave enough to pet them. They were really friendly as you can see. This is how they would take the fish out of your hand. It kind of freaked me out, but Matt loved it.

Katelynn loved the elephants. She is getting so grown up and we are so proud of her that she now knows all her letters and their sounds and is starting to read. (Thanks to Matt, I don't have the patience)

Brennon loved the ottors. They were so close behind the glass.

My little man is growing up

Brennon is looking so grown up lately even though he is still small for his age. He is such a cutie and waves to anyone he see's.

We found Katelynn heaven

Labor day a friend I met at school invited us out to her log cabin in the woods. After hearing she had a horse, pony, ducks, sheep, and 5 dogs, I knew we had to go. Katelynn had so much fun and was in heaven being able to ride their pony. She wouldn't even come in to eat dinner all evening.
Our horse princess... riding by herself.
She loved the big horse, Denver too. She would run up to him in the field and pet him and try to feed him. Everyone asked me if she has any fears. Not when it comes to horses.
Brennon also made a friend even though the dog was bigger than him.

Waterfalls in Dominican Republic

We just got pictures from my brother of our trip hiking up to waterfalls in the DR. We had so much fun and it was one of the best adventures we have ever been on. Here are a few pictures to show you how fun it was. We were jumping and sliding into pools everywhere and it took us about 3 1/2 hours to make it to all the waterfalls. Even my Mom and Dad were doing this.

Here is me jumping off a ledge. Crazy, huh?
Here is Matt doing a backflip off the edge. Of course he had to outdo everyone...

This is a picture of all of us under the waterfall.
Here we are sliding through the rocks into the water. It was like a real waterslide.
The water was like this most of the way. We swam through the rocks and it was so beautiful.

Summer is ending (I think)

The Crow's had a back to school breakfast and the kids had fun playing around. Only one more year and Katelynn will be heading off to Kindergarten. Crazy! Matt has been teaching Katelynn her letters and we are amazed at how fast she is catching on. She will be reading in no time!

My two brothers drove all the way from Virginia to Utah and were nice enough to come through Texas to see us and the kids. We had fun with them even though it rained the whole time. But we did get to go bowling and play mini golf.

I am still in school and really enjoying it. I am more than half way and am so excited about that! We had a hawaiian day and I actually did the limbo. Pretty funny.
My class at school. We will be friends for a long time. Some great girls.
The kids enjoying summer, what's better than watermelon and ice cream?

Paybacks are Heck

So as many of you can believe, Matt and I are still kids at heart and we (with a couple of friends) (no names included, only pictures...) Toilet papered a couple houses in our ward. We had a blast even though we did get caught at one house and actually left with cookies, it was a good trade.

Us getting caught..... Who looks out their window while brushing their teeth at 10:30 at night?

We had the most fun with the cars...

Did they really get this close with all the lights on in the house?

The final result at their house...

So of course they retaliated. One of the jokes was to put on Craigs list that we were selling a corvette for $5000 dollars because my husband left me. We got about 30 calls. ha, ha..
Katelynn trying to get the TP out of the tree. It actually made for a fun Sunday morning.

Oh, and for all of you who are reading this and are in our ward, WATCH OUT! The war has just begun.....
Our family is always up for a great adventure and we are all kids at heart, so we wanted to share our adventures and moments with you! Enjoy!
